8 Chicks Prepare to Embrace Snow Camp in a Big White Way

"'Twas the night before Snow Camp, when all through the house,
The groans of chicks packing, could frighten a mouse.
The poles and the boots and the booze packed with care,
In hopes that they all would survive the affair..."

Ah, Snow Camp. The penultimate outing of our 10-week Wilderness Basics Course -- if you count the reunion outing, and we do. The next-to-last test to overcome before we are inducted into the order of Certified Wilderness Experts Extraordinnaire(tm). Or, something to that effect.

Thirty-five layers of clothes, eleventy-three canisters of propane, we should be all set to tackle San Jacinto Mountain. See you on the flipside.

  1. Excellent! This whole Christmassy thing makes me think of one of my favorite holiday movies, "Elf"

"First we'll make snow angels for a two hours, then we'll go ice skating, then we'll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse Cookiedough as fast as we can, and then we'll snuggle." And that makes me think I should have packed some Tollhouse cookie dough.

Emily: "We can't just throw him out in the snow."
Walter: "Why not? He loves the snow. He's told me 15 times."

Remember: the best way to spread Snow Camp Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear!
